On March 15, Emerald City Boxing Gym was closed down per state mandate to combat the spread of COVID-19 in our community. We have been happy to do our part. Washington state has announced a phased re-opening plan in which gyms are slated for phase 3. However, we can open on a very limited basis in phase 2 for lessons and very small group fitness classes. Phase 2 began June 20, 2020. We are open for small group fitness classes and private lessons at this time
UPDATE August 4, 2020:
We continue to operate small group fitness classes of up to 7 people. Open gym will resume with increased capacity to 10 people at one time. All sign ups must be done through Mindbody and time slots must be booked in advance. A late cancel fee of $20 will be applied when canceling a booking within 8 hours of the class, lesson, or open gym time slot.
As Washington begins to reopen, the state is creating guidelines for businesses to follow. We are happy to be adhering to all the guidelines and then some. Upon reopening, all fitness equipment will be spaced to adhere to social distancing guidelines and cleaned after every use. We will no longer be offering gloves and wraps for general use and will encourage everyone to bring their own. Staff will be required to wear masks at all times. Staff and clients must remain 6 feet apart at all times. No exceptions. We will continue to clean and sanitize often and keep fans going and doors open for maximum airflow. If you have any other suggestions, we would love to hear them.
Our limited reopening in Phase 2 will bring an adjusted group fitness schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 7 am, 12 pm, 4:30 pm, and 7 pm
Friday: 7 am, 12 pm, and 4:30 pm
Saturday: 9 am and 12 pm
Virtual class option available Monday-Friday at 12 pm and 4:30 pm
In-person classes will be limited to ONLY 7 PEOPLE. No exceptions. Please register in advance. Cancelation within 8 hours or no-shows will be charged $20.
Please see our Mindbody schedule or email to schedule a lesson!
COVID-19 related closures have effected just about everybody in this country. Small businesses have been hit especially hard. While some financial relief has been available, it has not been enough and it has been hard to come by.
We have launched a couple different fundraising efforts. If you feel so inclined, we are accepting any help our community has to offer.
We are taking donations via Venmo (@crandall17) and distributing t-shirts made just for this fundraising effort. Just make sure to email us after you donate with shirt size.
We are also selling discounted gift cards available here:
